100 Best Shopify Stores To Take Inspiration & Replicate In Your Website

Ecommerce has constantly been growing since the birth of the Internet. Today eCommerce marketing is responsible for more than 13% of the global annual sales.

This isn’t surprising, though, since online retail has become easier and more accessible both for sellers and buyers.

A couple of decades ago, having a website was a big deal. Today it’s a must.

Fortunately, the existence of eCommerce platforms like Shopify has made the process easier than ever.

We’ve gathered a list of 100 online Shopify stores for you to take inspiration from. Not just random stores, but stores that are killing it at business.

All of them are profitable eCommerce businesses that carved their own way to success and for each of them, success meant different things.

Their successes vary from executing excellent store ideas to having high-end clients to earning multimillion-dollar investments and six-figure revenues.

Now that we got that out of the way let’s see some of the best online stores out there.

1) UgMonk

Jeff Sheldon starts the “About” section on his UgMonk website with a simple question: “Why was it so difficult to find fresh, high-quality, unique items in a modern aesthetic?”

His Shopify site is simple, fresh, and exhibits UgMonk’s clothing, workplace items, bags, and prints in the same modern aesthetic style he sought while designing his unique products.

2) Pipcorn

Pipcorn Heirloom has one of the most eye-catching website designs out there.

What’s interesting about this store is that it was once featured on ABC’s Shark Tank, where the owners got a deal that marked the beginning of their success.

As a small family business, Pipsnacks has turned into a fast-growing Shopify store that knows how to satisfy their customers’ need for tasty snacks.

3) Negative Underwear

Negative Underwear has one goal: to help women feel confident in their own bodies.

They don’t want to rely on push-up pads or bows for women to feel sexy. And the strategy is working for them since this Shopify store’s revenue grew 150% just a few years after it launched.

Negative Underwear has gained acclaim from big names such as Forbes, Vogue, and The Wall Street Journal for making a place in the industry and bridging the gap between comfort and appearance.

4) JOCO Cups

JOCO Cups tells visitors on the site’s Why Joco page  “the cups are designed to enhance your morning brew, save your taste buds, and help out mother nature.”

Up-sell Alert: The site also allows users to feature their own products.

5) Partake Foods

When Denise Woodard couldn’t find healthy snacks for her daughter, Vivane, that were also allergy-friendly, she founded Partake Foods.

Partake offers cookies in flavors like chocolate chip, birthday cake, and ginger snaps that are school safe and free of the top 8 allergens as well as artificial colors, preservatives, and genetically modified ingredients.

6) The Great Cookie

The Great Cookie is a business that couldn’t be missing from our best Shopify stores list.

It carries a success story and is dedicated to selling cookies and cakes. How crazy?

Goodies in different designs and flavors are displayed all over the page, and frankly, this design made me drool.

And a bit more about the design: It is attractive and playful, making it the perfect fit for the products.

There are also two tabs you can select if you sort the products by category or occasion. Which leads me to why it has earned a place on our list.

7) Sir

This Shopify store is bold, it’s big, and it’s beautiful. With its serene photography style, Sir does a great job of sending a calming message through the theme of its store.

Located in Sydney, Australia, this store steals a place in our list for one of the most striking online stores for clothing.

8) Pop Chart Lab

Chart lovers unite. Pop Chart Lab allows you to find a chart for almost any subject.

From “The Many Varieties of Whiskey” chart to “The Diagram of Dogs” the site’s layout is modern and easy to navigate. Even their logo is a mini chart.

9) Uppercase Magazine

For over a decade, Uppercase magazine has offered interesting articles and photos focused on craft, fashion, illustration, and design, all wrapped up in a beautifully printed package.

Creator and editor Janine Vangool uses her platform to feature fellow creators and, since launching in 2009.

After she has expanded the publication to include Little U, a tiny magazine for the young and young at heart, and Encyclopedia, a series of books that deep dive into topics like ceramics, quilting, and printmaking.

10) Taylor Stitch

The inner child in me loves Taylor Stitch’s website because of the creative alternatives displayed when you hover over a product: a jacket, for instance, flips to an image of a model posing with the jacket on a motorcycle.

The Taylor Stitch website does something else really cool, too: it almost immediately calls more attention to its message than its products, with “Three Simple Ingredients” written across most of the images you see on the homepage.

Taylor Stitch doesn’t just make high-quality clothing. It also aims to reduce waste and help the environment by creating clothing with recycled or 100% natural products.

On their website, you can’t miss their environmental efforts, and I’m betting this is a differentiating factor for most buyers when they come across the site.

11) LazyFruits

LazyFruits is an online shop that sells… well, you guessed it, fruits!

This is another cool example of a Shopify store that will make the sales process easier.

On their homepage, you will find all kinds of fruit that you can just drop in your cart.

While the design consists of a white background, the products displayed on it create a colorful scene, which is a pretty clever and unique design, in my opinion.

12) Bluebella

This Shopify store takes a place in our list because of their fashion-led luxurious lingerie and nightwear collections.

Bluebella’s designs reflect a modern take on lingerie. They claim to use unusual fabrics and trims to create stunning new silhouettes.

There’s so much to say about this store, but we’ll let their stunning website do the talking.

13) Allbirds

Allbirds is unique through and through. There are bright, youthful colors accompanied by fun typography.

Throughout the webpage, there are moving illustrations and little video clips. There all kinds of different multimedia techniques used to make the site stand out.

14) Hiut Denim Co.

Hiut Denim is based in Cardigan, Wales, a town that, until 2002, was home to the biggest jeans factory in the United Kingdom.

Hiut Denim was founded in 2011 to take advantage of the jean-making skills and know-how that remained with many locals, showcase their dedication to craft and bring manufacturing back to Cardigan.

Dedicated to making the best jeans, not the most jeans, Hiut Denim focuses on details, satisfaction, and quality.

For all the audiophiles out there, Master and Dynamic is selling high-quality headphones.

The products from this Shopify store are part of the $1 billion headphone market and rival Beats by Dre with their quality.

16) Tsuki Market

Tsuki Market is the eCommerce business child of famous influencers and gamers Felix (a.k.a Pewdiepie) and Marzia Kjellberg.

Now let’s take a moment to appreciate the eye-catching design of this collaborative effort.

Tsuki is a very user-friendly website, as it favors minimalistic website design. As you can see, there are only three buttons on the main menu.

It’s worth mentioning that the couple promotes the store through Instagram and Youtube, and they also model for the clothes exclusively.

Every post they make perfectly complements their store, increasing their audience’s desire to check it out and make a purchase.

17) Triangl

An Australian couple launched this swimwear line in 2012.

The idea of this Shopify store first came to Erin Deering, one of the founders, who realized that she couldn’t find any bikini that she liked that was also affordable.

TRIANGL offers simple and sporty style bikinis in bright neoprene fabric.

18) KUTOA

Along with well-placed images of their product, the text for this online shop tells you immediately what it’s all about: “Buy a bar. Feed a child.”

20) Skinny Teatox

I myself was tempted to purchase the Teatox product when I checked out this site (in my defense, they were having a one-day flash sale I did not want to miss).

The Skinny Teatox homepage immediately confronts your biggest concerns (“Is it natural? Yes. Will it work? Yes.”), and uses pastel colors and cute icons of bikinis and mugs to convey a fresh vibe.

As I’ve noticed with a few other Shopify websites, Skinny Teatox places its products on the homepage with an easy “buy now” call-to-action.

For a company that isn’t too complex to figure out (“All Natural Detox Weight Loss Tea” is written beside the company name in search engines), I think it makes sense to offer the viewers what they want up front.

21) CR7

Apart from being a popular football player, Cristiano Ronaldo is also the second most-followed account on Instagram with 238M followers.

As a popular influencer, Cristiano couldn’t miss the chance to create his own personal brand and Shopify store called CR7.

The store relies heavily on the footballer’s image to promote his collections.

An impressive tactic, especially when you are one of the most influential people on the planet.

22) HELM Boots

Founded in 2009 in Austin, Texas, HELM is dedicated to selling classic style footwear with a versatile, modern perspective.

HELM casual & work boots and shoes are produced and sourced in U.S. facilities, making them 100% made in the USA.

23) JM&SONS

25) BioLite

I might be a sucker for the little details, but the product images on BioLite’s website are enough to make me want to buy something (they look 3-D and illuminated, and some even look wet from the rain!).

Since BioLite’s major selling point is its humanitarian impact (the products bring affordable energy access to places in India and Africa).

The first thing on the homepage is their slogan, “Gear That Brings Energy Everywhere,” which will appeal to their target audience.

The navigation bar at the top also has a clever twist: beside each product title, there are little black-and-white cartoon drawings of the product.

26) Ninja

Ninja is another famous gamer and influencer with one of the biggest channels on Twitch, with thousands of viewers.

The online store has gone through major changes since its opening, and, as you can see, the homepage now features a short video with Ninja’s merchandise.

The webpage is simple and doesn’t include many pages or a lot of buttons.

This simplicity helps you browse for almost all of his products straight from the homepage.

27) Milk

This Shopify shop offers clothing for babies while keeping comfort, style, and practicality in mind.

The store went live in 2016, with an aim to design clothes for everyday living and playing.

That’s why Milk pays extra attention to practical shapes with soft, natural, and versatile fabrics.

The company employs single mothers and female heads of households to empower women through employment. Naja also gives 2% of its sales to support sewing programs at local foundations.

30) Luca and Danni

There’s something addictive about an eCommerce store that changes as you scroll.

Luca and Danni’s page is highly interactive: as you scroll, some images get bigger and others get smaller, boxes of bracelets open up within images, and some images follow you down the page.

It can be tricky to offer so much movement on a page while remaining coherent, but somehow, Luca and Danni accomplish this.

There’s also a very zen vibe to the whole layout, with images of palm trees and cactuses, and calls-to-action with language like “brighter days: shop soil to sky,” and “find what speaks to you.”

31) Jane Motorcycles

Jane Motorcycles is a fashion Shopify store example that uses bold photography on its primary page.

Scrolling down, you will find the website’s products showcased in their natural environment.

A close-up of a leg wearing a leather shoe while riding a motorbike or a man wheeling his machine is just a couple of them.

Aside from the website’s ease-of-use, the overall look-and-feel really intrigued me.

32) Ban.do

This Shopify store sells graphic tees, jumpsuits, swimsuits, activewear, and more.

They’re more of a lifestyle brand as they also stock tech, wellness, and desk items.

Ban.do’s website is a canvas of vibrant colors and simple navigation that makes it easy to browse around. And it also has an embedded Instagram feed displaying the products in action.

33) Pure Cycles

Cycle through this page to see classic and modern bicycles. The site has clever sayings such as “Slip through your city like a shadow.

Your perfect urban commuter is right here” which makes it an enjoyable experience when searching for your next bike and they let you know it by displaying their “4.6 Customer Review” rating in the bottom right corner. Everything you need is on one page.

34) United by Blue

United By Blue removes a pound of trash from the ocean and waterways for each product sold.

The apparel and home goods company founded by Brian Linton incorporates sustainability through all areas of its operation.

It also hosts organized cleanups, allowing customers to get involved with the company’s mission without even making a purchase.

35) Harris Farm Markets

This is a family-owned company, something you can’t miss from the homepage.

It’s casual and playful, with text that looks like a child’s handwriting and colorful drawings of fruit (there’s even an adorable drawing of a bee with animated wings!).

Even the calls-to-action sound laid-back, like “What’s nature been up to?” It’s so genuine, you can imagine a family building the site together.

36) 8 and 9

8 and 9 is a streetwear brand and arguably one of the best Shopify stores I’ve seen.

Your first contact with the website will be a big photo that speaks in street style terms and changes dynamically.

Scrolling down, I was impressed by the way these guys chose to direct their visitors.

Nine big tabs, clearly stating-visually and verbally-where they are leading to. That’s it!

Fortunately, they also managed to squeeze in an email form to the bottom of the page, which is not ideal but better than nothing.

37) Marc Wenn

All products on this Shopify store are designed by Marc Wenn in London.

The brand focuses mainly on luxury biker denim, Chelsea boots, and handmade backpacks.

Marc Wenn advises doing many things to gain traction in the initial days. For example, personally emailing the first 100 customers to say thank you will go a very long way for any business, just as it did for this Shopify store.

38) Leather Head Sports

As soon as you enter this site you have a chance to enter and win a football for being a subscriber.

40) Skinny Dip

I didn’t really know what Skinny Dip was until I visited the website.

43) Great George Watches

I’m not an experienced watch shopper, so when I first read, “Made with Swiss parts and 100% square,” on Great George Watches’ homepage, I thought maybe “square” was a fancy term I’d understand if I knew watches.

But as I scrolled and read, “Think outside the circle,” I realized these terms were unique to Great George Watches, which are all square-faced.

By emphasizing what makes their product unique before even showing the product, Great George Watches captivates the viewer.

I love this shop because it has a refined and polished look, with black-and-white photos and an attention-grabbing red call-to-action button.

44) Bombas

Bombas, a comfort-focused sock and apparel brand that also helps those in need.

48) Choose Muse

Choose Muse incorporates a full-display video of a man putting headphones on and using Choose Muse’s product right from the homepage.

The video starts playing immediately (as opposed to offering a play button option), which is especially eye-catching.

I usually think simple is better when it comes to design, but Choose Muse proves me wrong, incorporating compelling designs with a ton of images and text, while still retaining a clean and enjoyable viewing experience.

49) Carbon Beauty

At Carbon Beauty, you will find cosmetic and beauty products like shampoos, fragrances, and makeup.

53) Brilliant

For a math and science website, Brilliant is surprisingly easy-to-navigate (even for someone like me, an English major … ), with big, colorful block buttons to choose the math concept you want to learn.

This shop is also a fantastic example of using a call-to-action button wisely: there’s a big “sign up for free” button prominently displayed in the top right, and then another at the bottom of the page after you’ve scrolled past the information you need.

The site doesn’t have a navigation bar but instead uses the web page to answer all the questions a viewer might have.

54) Holstee

Holstee does a fantastic job of designing their site in tiers depending on a person’s initial level of interest in the product.

For starters, you see the text, “We help you along your journey to living more fully and mindfully.” If you’re already convinced, you can click “Join Today” right below the text.

If not, you can continue to scroll down the homepage to find pain points this product reduces, read a “Holstee Manifesto,” see Membership benefits, check out testimonials, and find publications Holstee’s been featured in.

Throughout the page, there are various calls-to-action, like “Choose a plan that’s right for you,” and then, at the end, “Become a member today.”

I love this site because it becomes increasingly convincing and in-depth as you scroll: it’s clear they use their homepage as a start-to-finish marketing pitch.
